March 19: The Lions Club of Boyertown dinner meeting at Friendship Hook & Ladder Company in Boyertown canceled.
March 20 to 22: Fleetwood Area High School’s production of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” postponed.
March 20, 21, 27, and 28: 1st Street Players, Birdsboro, postponed its shows for Neil Simon’s “Rumors.”
March 21: Hamburg Grange #2103 canceled its Chicken Pot Pie Dinner at Hamburg High School.
March 21: Chicken Pot Pie Dinner postponed at Calvary UCC, 1231 Route 100, Barto.
March 21: Indoor Yard Sale canceled at Friedens UCC, 337 Main St., Oley.
March 21: Pa. German Zammelaaf canceled at Trainer’s Midway Diner, Bethel, Berks County.
March 22: The 97th Scholastic Art and Writing Awards at Kutztown University, has been canceled.
March 24: Habitat for Humanity of Berks County’s Birdhouse Challenge, scheduled for March 24, has been postponed until March 23, 2021. Current registrations will be honored for the new date.
March 26 to 28: Berks Christian School, Birdsboro, postponed its presentation of “Alice In Wonderland.”
March 26 and 27: Shoo-Fly Pie Sale canceled at Friedens UCC Church, 337 Main St., Oley.
March 28: Trinity Lutheran Church, 1749 S. Main St., Bechtelsville, roast beef dinner canceled.
Oyster Pie Sale: canceled at Huff’s Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis.
March 28: Pot pie Dinner & Gospel Concert canceled at Kissinger’s Church, Wyomissing.
April 4: Daniel Boone Optimist Club Spring Craft Show canceled.
Kutztown University: spring break has been extended until March 22, and online classes will begin March 23.
Boyertown School District: closed through March 30; all activities canceled.
Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest: this year’s festival, scheduled to run March 27 through April 5, has been postponed and rescheduled until April 9-18, 2021. The Berks Jazz Fest will have the same artist lineup and schedule in 2021. All current tickets will be honored on the corresponding artist/show dates.
Habitat for Humanity of Berks County ReStore: closed until March 22. All scheduled pick-ups during this time will be rescheduled, as will the Spring Sale.
Oley Valley Library: All activities canceled.
Boyertown Community Library: All activities canceled.
Kutztown Community Library: closed until March 30.
Schuylkill Valley Community Library: closed.
Berks History Center: closed to the public.
YWCA Tri-County Area: suspends educational programming through March 31.
Studio B, Boyertown: postponed March events, including Bob Wood’s History Talks March 15 and 22, “Superheroes” Opening Reception on March 20, and “Superheroes” Prose and Poetry Reading March 29. The gallery’s current exhibition “Common Ground, Judy Lupas and Barbara Thun” has been extended until April 12 and will be available for viewing Fridays through Sundays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or by appointment by calling Jane at 610-367-8066. St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown: all events have been canceled through March 28. This includes the Saturday evening meal and worship services. The office will also remain closed. Please call 610-369-1024 and leave a voicemail message in the event of an emergency and a staff member will return your call.
Sen. David Argall’s Offices in Pottsville and Hamburg: temporarily closed until further notice. If you have any state government related issues or concerns, his Mahanoy City office will remain open for the time being.
